Weeks Old

On Wednesday, June 24th, Isaac turned 14 weeks old. My how time is flying!!!! Here are the journal entries for that week:

th- You are 3 months old today!!!!! You amazed me today as you tried to push yourself off of my pillow that I had you propped up on. You were trying to sit up on your very own! You are such a big boy! 19th- Hmmm...today you actually said something that kind of sounded like "mama".

th-We are all by ourselves this week while Daddy and Sissy are off to Italy on the Club Beyond Beach Break trip. We miss them terribly! Today you sat up on my lap without support but leaned forward. Totally amazed me since you sat like that for a good 5-10 minutes. You just amaze me alllll the time little man!
st- Today is Father's Day. Your first father's day, but without daddy! We got by though and we also got to talk to him on the phone for just a few minutes. We went to see "Up" tonight and you just loved it. You watched the whole movie except the last 15 minutes when you fell asleep on my lap. Lately when you have been a bit crabby and laying down you roll yourself onto your left side! Incidentally this is the same side you like to sleep on when you are in your crib. You are hardly getting any breast milk now. We upped your amount of formula to 6 ounces finally, however you don't seem interested. You want me instead. It makes me sad, but it may be time to wean you. Interesting fact: "Sometime between three and four months of age, your baby can probably begin to bear some weight on his legs when held in a standing postion."- You have been doing this for sometime now!
nd- Interesting fact: "Within the next month or so (when your baby is between three and four and one half months of age), you may notice that baby begins to show a distinctive reaction to strangers. Baby may give an unfamiliar person a questioning look, or she may stare, frown, withdraw, or cry in the presence of a stranger. This reaction-commonly called stranger anxiety- may be well established by the tiem your baby is eight months old."- Funny he just did this today at the post office. He was laughing and smiling at me while the clerk was checking me out and a lady wanted to look at him. As soon as she bent over to look at him he stopped smiling and gave her a blank stare. This is new today. He usually smiles at everyone.
rd- Ahhh.... sometimes I worry because you always keep your little hands balled up. I try to remember that I can't neccessarily go by this book!
th- We went and had lunch with other mommies and baby friends. Isaac really loves checking out other kids. He gets soooo excited while he watches them!
