On Wednesday, October 21st, Isaac turned 31 weeks old. Here are the journal entries from that week:
th- tonight Isaac sat up in his tub all by himself. He fell back a couple of times but he always tried to sit back up by pulling himself up on the sides of the tub.
th- Isaac wore his costume for the Halloween party tonight and it was too small! It was 6-9 months and he's not even 7 months! He was so cute in it though.
th- today Isaac kept sitting up by himself. i am so amazed, but not surprised since he was grown the day he was born. What a big guy. He also got to help dad mow the lawn on his lawn tractor. he loved that, but the weed eater freaked him out and made him scream. As soon as Jeff stopped, he stopped crying, but when he started it again he started screaming again.
th- 7 months old today! Isaac had his first finger food. I tore off a couple nibbles of french bread, but he threw them up. Lil man has been sick at his stomach today and hasn't kept much down.
th- "Sometime between now and about nine months of age, your baby may begin to drink from a cup with your help." He has been doing this by himself for about a month now. Isaac had his 6 month shots today. Poor guy. He did much better and hardly cried. Tonight Jeff sat on the floor with Isaac and rolled the football off of his lap. This mad him laugh so hard. Jeff and I are finally putting Isaac to bed without rocking or a bottle!!!!! Yeah!!!!! He seems to be doing well.... so far..... When he gets frustrated he has started blowing raspberries. Soooo cute.
th- Isaac has been doing really well with the new sleep arrangements. Afternoon naps seem to be the tough one for him so far. He's tired, but not ready to let go. I wonder if this will be the time he gives me the most trouble in the future.
st- Daddy's birthday today! Isaac has another new fear. When Bethany sprayed the whip cream on the cake it made him scream. It was a total repeat of Saturday. Note to self: Don't let Isaac miss his afternoon nap. Boy is he cranky!
