34 Weeks Old and Veteran's Day

Since this is a combined post, I will do the journal entries first and then label the pics. On Wednesday, November 11th, Isaac turned 34 weeks old. Here are the journal entries for that week:

5th- Isaac amazes me. he has figured out how to turn his touch light off and on over his changing table. What a smart cookie.

6th- Had green beans and seemed to like them a lot. Had a bit of a bad day: sister's ipod fell and hit him on the forehead and then he got swatted because he kept going after an electrical cord. Broke mom's heart that she did that. I'm sorry but I worry about your safety. I want you to stay safe little man. Love you, mom.

7th- Isaac loves riding around on his little car. When I stop he starts rocking his body to make the car move and ultimately make me push him some more. His balance amazes me how he can already hold onto the handle bars and keep balanced while I push him around.

8th- Tonight Isaac said, "Da" for the first time. Jeff was in the kitchen and Isaac turned his head around and yelled "Da" at him. So funny. "Da" is so proud of his little man. He was also all over his play blanket and would scooch himself off. he is pretty close to starting to crawl. Maybe in the next two weeks or so.

9th- I love you in your moose jammies. You are such a cutie!

10th- I have this awful feeling that the separation anxiety has started to kick in. Every time I was out of sight, Isaac started to fuss. What's a mother to do?

11th- Veteran's Day! Isaac got such a crack out of Bethany hiccuping. Every time she hiccuped it caused Isaac to giggle. Today Isaac went to his first parade. He absolutely loved the firetrucks. soon after he passed out since it was way past his nap time.

Waiting for the parade to start.
What was that?
A big red firetruck!
There's another one!
Isaac LOVED the firetrucks that went by. He watched them so intently. Pretty much the only thing that got his attention that day.
The soldiers come marching in.
This absolutely brought tears to my eyes. I stood there hooting for these guys. I am so proud of them and my husband. I am ecstatic that they made it back safely. When I see this though, it always conjures up the feelings of Jeff being deployed. I so hope that we have seen the last of deployments, but I won't hold my breath.
The commander. Jeff's horse had the same heart on the breast plate. Made Jeff proud to see this.
Dad and the boy waiting for more of the parade to come around the corner. There was a huge gap in the parade. Not sure what the hold up was....
Oh...we were waiting for the fly over. This got several big yells and some tears.
POWs/MIAs
We got a big kick out of these guys.
Someone just couldn't take anymore. And, amazingly, he slept through the next part.
