Simply Thrilled

I am simply thrilled that my wonderful husband is on his way home. I send him many prayers for a safe journey and travels home. I am so glad that he got to come home even a day earlier. I think lil Isaac is happy too. He is ready to make his journey at any time. I think we are ready too. I say I think because you can just never be too ready. We have our next dr appt on Friday. I know Jeff will be excited to go, but u/s are really a thing of the past with getting a pic of him. He's too big and his head is all the way down...so no pics now. Ho hum... That is okay. I can't wait to see his sweet face when they hand him over to me for the first time. Everything is going along as expected. My contractions have picked up pain and strength wise, but the magnesium still keeps them from coming so often. Maybe this Saturday? Bethany came on a Saturday and this one seems like he wants to follow in his sister's footsteps. Well, not much to report. Just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff is finally coming home. OH, my.... I almost forgot.....

Jeff got his RFO (request for orders) for Leavenworth, so we are moving folks! Everyone is pretty excited. Even Bethany! She has already made several friends now via facebook at Lansing which is where we are looking at renting a house and has the better highschool. As soon as Jeff comes home we have to get the ball rolling. We have already found a house that we like and a family friend...Angie (we were stationed with them at Fort Hood back in the day) is going to go check the house out on Wednesday. If all is good we are going to put the deposit down and get it. The only bad thing is that someone else is looking at the house too that day. I'm praying they don't want it. It's such a nice little house. However, God has always provided for us, so if this house doesn't work then I'm sure He will bring another house to us that we love just as much. BUT, I'm really hoping this is the one meant for us. It's beautiful!

Okay, that is it for now, guys... just wanted to give you an update on things.

Love,
P, B, J and I

  1. Glad to hear that Jeff made it in time, so relax the next couple of days and get plenty of sleep. Take care.

  2. That was a scary time for this mom. I did a lot of praying for God to keep Isaac in the oven until his dad arrived. It would have been too sad for Jeff to miss Isaac's birth. Prayers were answered. Jeff made it in just under the wire. Weare overjoyed. No more waiting.

  3. I am soooo happy that Jeff got his orders. It will be so nice to hear all the tales of "instant gratification" after the Schmidt family hits the mall for the first time. No more late packages and waiting, waiting, waiting to get what you ordered, or worse - not getting it all all or getting it too late. Case in point - the shower dress. Jeff is already jaded - he has shopped stateside.
