November 20 Week Check Up

Here is little Isaac at his 20 week check up. This is the first 4D picture that we have received of our little guy. Most of you have already seen this photo since I usually email them out as soon as I get them from Dr. Erlbeck, but thought it important to chronicle it on here anyways. At this appointment he was just shy of a full pound which puts him a bit ahead of schedule as he was only supposed to weigh about 6 oz at this point. We also found out that my thyroid hormone levels were very low and almost non-existent at this point. This has been an ongoing battle from the very beginning of my pregnancy and extremely important for baby development. We are hoping that it hasn't made too much of an impact on the little guy. In the first picture here, it's of his face. He is kind of turned to the side. In the second picture, it is basically the same photo just in the regular ultrasound style. The third picture here is of him covering his face up with his little arm. His fist is all balled up. He doesn't much care for the intrustion and is always trying to wave us away. In this last photo, he gave one final wave before disappearing. I often wonder where he goes that he can disappear like that, but I guess he has his ways. He seems to be very big on his privacy and doesn't like anything to bother him- tight pants cutting across his head, books or magazines laying on top of him, etc. He does seem to get a kick out of Winkie laying near him purring and meowing though.
