November Photos

Since becoming pg, Bethany has stepped up in helping out around the house. One of the huge things, is that I have somewhat relinquished control of the kitchen and have been giving Bethany cooking lessons. She has taken off and rarely needs my help at this point. We do read over the recipe together, so she can ask questions or I can give her helping hints to make things go more smoothly. On this night in particular- the day after Thanksgiving- I had a bought of contractions that lasted about 3 hours and ended up putting me in bed while they finished decorating. To help out, Bethany made one of her favorite dishes- Vodka Penne. This is a fairly complicated dish even for me. She made a couple of blunders which she was mad about, but I reassured her that is how we learn to become better at what we are learning. She served the dish with a lot of reservations, but I can honestly tell you that it was delish! We ate every single bite and there wasn't any leftovers which I can't say when I fix this dish! As for the decorating, well, I have to say they did a wonderful job. They decorated the house top to bottom. I was pretty bummed that I missed out on all of the fun. For awhile at least, I was able to sit in the chair and take some photos of them decorating the tree. Here is the finished product. Jeff took this picture while I was in bed resting. I think they did an awesome job! The house was simply beautiful after they finished their magic work!
