This week Isaac held a rattle for the first time. The first day he held it 3 times for 1-2 minutes each. Later in the week, he even picked up the rattle on his very own which I'm sure was purely on accident.His sleeping pattern is still off. There are some good nights and some not so good nights. We are still trying to figure out if he has allergies since he has had so much congestion since coming home. We are thinking this is the case since it's pollen time and the trees are bombarding us with the "yellow haze".
Played with the mirror busy box that Nan and Pop got him and he is loving it. He loves staring into the mirror. He also played with the Blue Bunny quite a bit that his Auntie Thalyta and Uncle Steven got him for Easter. And, on that note, had his first holiday- EASTER! He has also taken to laying in his crib for a couple of hours during the night before his first feeding. Has been a bit colicky. Also, this week, we decided to weigh him and he weighed in at an amazing 8.4 pounds. Way to go little man!
This week he also wore his first cloth diaper and seems to like them okay. What a money saver there! He proved to sleep better this week after being swaddled, but towards the end of the week he started hating being swaddled.
The best thing this week is that he has started giving mom some time off by taking naps without being held and playing in his Boppy chair. It has given mom the much needed time to get some laundry done. He has also started gurgling, growling and panting! Too funny!We are just so excited at the daily changes in Isaac. He is losing the infant look and starting to look like a baby. I love the boyish features that are starting to show up as well. He has such a good personality and still such a sweet little boy!
Ok, that boy's adorable. It's like looking at a small Jeff. You think? He looks so sweet when he's sleeping or when he's awake. Just cute. I'll take him when you're all finished. Of course I'd have to wrestle with Thalyta and I'm afraid she'd win.
